Built to Move the Tide.
Karve is coming.
Karve is an inclusive wellness collective taking shape in San Diego, a space where people of all abilities will move side by side through strength, care, and connection.
For now, Karve’s approach lives through Alex Ung, offering individualized neurological exercise therapy throughout San Diego County, both in-home and from a private studio in Carlsbad.
This work blends clinical experience with real-world movement. It’s built on nervous-system–led training, long-term relationships, and thoughtful use of tools like ARC-EX spinal cord stimulation, with proven results in spinal cord injury and promising early benefits for people living with ALS and MS.
The physical space is coming soon.
The work is already underway.

Working with Alex
Working with Alex is a highly personal experience built on trust, consistency, and respect for how the nervous system adapts over time.
Alex is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with nearly a decade of experience working with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, ALS, stroke, and complex neurological conditions. His background includes gait retraining, locomotor work, aquatic therapy, alignment-based movement, and neuromuscular stimulation. But his work has never been about techniques alone — it has always been about people.
The work is technical, but it never feels clinical. Alex is trained in Strain Counterstrain techniques, Pilates for neurological conditions, and electrical neuromuscular systems including Neufit, ARC-EX, and RTI. This depth allows sessions to adapt in real time, responding to changes in energy, pain, or tone without overcomplicating the process.
Karve is grounded in the same philosophy that shapes Alex’s work: progress is built through partnership. Success isn’t defined by diagnosis or rigid timelines, but by how well you move, how confident you feel, and how much control you have in your body. By working consistently, listening closely, and adapting to what your body needs, Alex creates an environment where challenge feels safe, and meaningful change becomes possible.
He doesn’t just train bodies.
He partners with people.
